"At the helm is Grand Officier Maître Restaurateur Peter Kremslehner"
The 4-star Hotel Regina in Vienna is owned and run by fourth generation of the Kremslehner family. At the helm is Grand Officier Maître Restaurateur Peter Kremslehner who has been a member of the Chaîne since 1985.
Hotel Regina is the main hotel and head office of the Kremslehner Hotel Group’s four hotels.
The others being:
- Hotel Royal (Ristorante Firenze Enoteca and Ristorante Settimo Cielo)
- Graben Hotel (Trattoria Santo Stefano)
- Hotel Johann Strauss
All are located in the prime locations of Vienna city centre.
First of the Kremslehner hotels, the building that houses the Hotel Regina was constructed in 1877 as a city palace in the Vienna “Historicism” style.
It became a hotel in 1907 and ever since then has been spoiling the guests with traditional Viennese hospitality. Situated near a gorgeous park on the Ringstrasse, next to the neo-Gothic style Votivkirche (English: Votive Church), the Hotel Regina’s 165 rooms create a pleasant, stylish atmosphere with tasteful interiors and combining historical charm with modern comfort.
The central location in the middle of the city’s University Quarter invites guests to make interesting tours around Vienna. The most famous sights and shopping streets of Austria’s capital city are only minutes away.
Restaurant Roth, very popular and nearly always fully reserved, is located in the Hotel Regina. The restaurant’s outstanding cuisine will win you over with Austrian and Viennese specialties, augmented with seasonal delicacies. The cosy restaurant bar is a popular meeting place for an aperitif or digestif. Its special ambience best appreciated over a refreshing cocktail, a glass of excellent Austrian wine, or one of the various beers on tap.
In summer, the cool, shaded garden under the arcades invites guests to relax and enjoy.
Beside the Viennese art nouveau hotel rooms and the highly-recommended Restaurant Roth, the hotel also offers eight banquet and seminar rooms. All varying in size and atmosphere, they can be used for all kinds of events - weddings, graduations, business or private functions.
Hotel Regina has accommodated some well-known personalities: the Austrian legend Karl Farkas, the writer Stefan Zweig and Ődon von Horvath have all spent enjoyable nights in this famous residence. The Habsburg family also came to visit repeatedly.
